The opening music of the program is jointly composed by three authors
Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum was a landmark for an entire generation. Aired for years on TV Cultura, the show was a huge success. Just hearing the opening music triggers many nostalgic memories. But do you know who the authors of the track are?
Check it out below:
Hélio Ziskind
A musician with a degree in classical composition from the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo, Hélio Ziskind was a member of the Grupo Rumo and is one of the composers of the theme music for Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum. He is also behind many other songs in the children's universe of TV Cultura, including the great hits from the "Cocoricó" program.
André Abujamra
Singer, songwriter, guitarist, percussionist, pianist, music producer, and actor, André Abujamra is a true multi-artist. In the 80s, he was part of the duo Os Mulheres Negras, with Maurício Pereira, and in the following decade, he formed the band Karnak. He is also one of the composers of the classic theme music of Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum.
Luiz Macedo
A music producer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and partner of Abujamra in Karnak, Luiz Macedo is a great scholar in the field of music, with extensive experience in the independent scene. Along with André and Hélio, he signs the composition for the theme music of Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum.
