Album, which was released 50 years ago, will have repertoire presented at Casa de Francisca
Exactly 50 years ago, in 1973, Alaíde Costa released an album to the world in partnership with guitarist Oscar Castro Neves. A year earlier, the singer from Minas Gerais lent her voice to a record that went down in history; Alaíde sings with Milton Nascimento the song "Me Leave Em Paz", featured on the album "Clube da Esquina".
The partnership with Oscar Castro Neves came from before. The musician, who was also a lyricist, wrote the tracks "Onde Está Você" and "Morrer de Amor" for Alaíde, in 1963 and 1965, respectively. The album released in 1973 by Odeon, in fact, was the idea of producer Aloysio de Oliveira, who was delighted with Alaíde and Oscar in the presentation of a party.
The album's repertoire will be performed in its entirety in two presentations at Casa de Francisca, in São Paulo. Alaíde takes the stage at the house alongside guitarist Gabriel Deodato on the 6th and 7th of July.
On WePlay you can watch the show "A Dama da Canção", the first DVD of Alaíde Costa's career, now immortalized on the first streaming platform for Brazilian shows.
